Position Summary / Career Interest :

The Dining Services Supervisor leads a team to service our onsite cafeterias, cafs, and coffee shops in addition to patient room service.

The position oversees, or is directly responsible for, one or more of the following : inventory, cold food prep, cooking, plating, or room service.

The position requires a keen focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Responsibilities :

Supervises and coordinates activities of operational unit within the department (Production / Support Services, Raw Materials, Cafeteria, or Patient Services).

Refer to unit Supervisor Position Outline for description of duties in each unit. Cross-trained to provide basic coverage in all department units.

• Schedules, supervises, trains, and evaluates unit employees.
• Monitors and assures food quality, product standards, sanitation and patient / customer service.
• Initiates and maintains communications with unit customers, employees, department units, and outside departments supporting unit operations.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Required :

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working in large volume food service, restaurant, or patient food service environments.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a food service setting.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must possess basic math skills

Preferred :

• Associate degree or higher
• Bilingual
